How it works

Three steps between you and a license: know your state's path, learn the concepts in plain English, then drill until the mock exams say you're ready.

1

Pick your state + line

The Start Here roadmap gives you your exact steps, costs, pre-licensing requirements, and where to book your exam — for all 50 states, for Property & Casualty and Life & Health.

2

Learn the language

Most candidates fail on vocabulary before they fail on ideas. The free Concepts Starter course and the 100 Most-Tested Terms list teach the words every exam is built on — in plain English.

3

Drill, mock, pass

A free practice question every morning. Premium adds full drill banks with rationales, timed mock exams with readiness scores, and a 14-Day or 30-Day Pass Plan built around your exam date.

Questions

I'm not enrolled in a pre-licensing course. Can I still join?

Yes. Some states require pre-licensing education hours and some don't — the roadmap's 50-state table tells you exactly what your state requires. License Ready is exam prep and study structure; it works alongside a required course or on its own where no course is mandated.

I already failed once. Is this for me?

Especially for you. Roughly a third to half of first-time candidates don't pass, and the Retake Rescue track exists for exactly that: read your score report, triage the weak topics, and rebuild on a second-attempt plan with a cohort doing the same.

Which exams do you cover?

Property & Casualty and Life & Health general-lines exams — the national concepts every state tests, plus state-law modules starting with Texas, then Florida, California, Illinois, and Georgia.

Is Premium a subscription?

Yes — $39/mo, cancel anytime. Candidates typically study two to six weeks, so most members need it for a month or two, pass, and go. No pass guarantees — what you get is a system, explained answers, and a room full of people aiming at the same day.

Are you affiliated with my state or the testing company?

No. License Ready is an independent education community — not affiliated with any state insurance department, insurer, or testing vendor. Confirm your requirements with your state insurance department.
